Calling all 7th and 8th grade students! Tell the world your story and win a chance to make your own short film at a professional film school!

Here’s the deal:

  • Write a film story inspired by your life.
  • Win a scholarship to a two week Film Production Camp this summer with the New York Film Academy where students will make their own films.
  • Have your short film screened in the Fall at the NYC Middle School Film Festival 2009 event.

The theme of this year’s festival is My Life, My Lens.  This theme asks you to begin thinking about the moments in your life, both small and big; in school, at home, or in the community; alone or with family or friends, that are significant, memorable or unique.  It’s all about your experiences, strengths, hopes and challenges that make you who you are.
