3. Take a pic of one of your sneakers using Photobooth. Then do one of the following activities:
a) Post your sneaker pic and write a poem about all the things this shoe makes you think of.
b) Use Inspiration or Glogster to create a collage (words and pictures) of what you imagine when you see your sneakers.

–> If you’re not wearing sneakers, borrow a friends. If your friend’s sneakers are too stinky you can borrow Mr. Lahana’s.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be learning the ins and outs of sneakers. Why were they created? How are they made? What will they be like in the future? You’ll learn these answers plus much, much more. So let’s begin!

2. Create a new bubbl.us brainstorm called “Sneakers”. Fill in everything you’ve learned so far and questions that you still have.
3. Click HERE for sneaker photos. Choose a sneaker and use Inspiration to diagram each of the parts (as seen in Sneakers, Part 1). Now post your diagram on your blog.
1. Listen to THIS song by Kanye West about Blood Diamonds.
2. Now, watch THIS video clip from a movie called Bling about where most diamonds come from.

4. Next, go to bubbl.us and create a brainstorm about everything you know so far about Blood Diamonds (don’t worry if you don’t know a lot…we’ll be adding to the brainstorm later.) Post your bubbl.us on your blog.
